Puzzle games reward thinking ahead, not fast fingers. Tower of Hanoi is a lesson in recursion: three discs take seven moves, and more discs need a plan. Sudoku and Nonogram are pure logic; Klotski, Sokoban and the slide puzzle are all about the order of your moves; 2048, Minesweeper and Tangram sit somewhere between luck and judgement. A round takes a few minutes, which makes them good for a short break or a commute, and they all work with touch controls on phones too.
