Tap a screw hole to select it, tap again to unscrew the top screw into its color slot; four of a color clears the slot automatically.

Holes may stack several screws (the corner badge shows depth) — only the top one can be unscrewed. Clear full slots to free space. Unscrew everything to win. R restarts.

How to Use

Screw Out is a relaxing screw puzzle: the board is scattered with screw holes that may stack several colored screws deep. Tap a hole to select it, tap again to unscrew the top screw into the matching color slot. Collecting four screws of one color clears that slot automatically. The number of slots equals the number of colors, so a careless unscrew that parks the wrong color can deadlock the board, and the only way out is a restart with a fresh layout. There are twelve levels, growing from a 3x3 board with three colors to twelve colors stacked five deep. Deeper levels hide what lies beneath: like solitaire, you must plan several unscrews ahead before committing.

FAQ

What if the board gets stuck?

When every visible screw has neither a matching slot nor an empty slot, the level deadlocks with a hint. Tap restart to regenerate a fresh layout for the same level.

Can I see screws buried underneath?

No, and that is the strategy: only depth badges hint at what remains. Unscrew the top layers first to reveal lower colors before committing slots.

Can the slots run out?

Slot count equals color count, which is enough in principle. But parking several half-finished colors at once starves later colors, so focus on one color at a time.

Is my level progress saved?

Yes. The current level number is stored in localStorage and restored the next time you open the game.

How many levels are there?

Twelve, scaling from three colors and two layers to twelve colors and five layers. After finishing a level you can replay or move on freely.
