🧊Block Burst
Free online Block Burst (Block Blast style): drag pieces onto an 8×8 board, fill rows or columns to clear them, combo bonuses and high-score tracking
Place all 3 pieces onto the board. Fill a full row or column to clear it. Pieces refill after each round — survive as long as you can.
Tap a piece in the tray (or press 1-3), then tap the board to drop it centered on your pointer. Save long bars for full lines. Press R to restart.
How to Use
Block Burst is a Block Blast style puzzle game: an 8x8 board deals 3 non-rotatable colored pieces each round. Drag or tap them onto any free spot. Filling an entire row or column clears it instantly and scores points. Unlike Tetris there is no gravity: pieces stay where you place them, so planning matters more than reflexes. Clearing multiple lines with a single placement awards a quadratic combo bonus (two lines at once = 4x the base score). The round ends when none of the three dealt pieces fit anywhere. The fuller the board, the harder long bars and L shapes become, so keep big gaps open for them and use singles to patch corners.
FAQ
Is Block Burst the same as Block Blast?
Gameplay is identical: 8x8 board, three pieces per round, full-line clearing and no gravity. This is an independent free web implementation that runs in any browser, no app download needed.
Can pieces be rotated?
No. As in the original, piece orientation is fixed, which makes gap planning the core skill.
How does combo scoring work?
Placement scores one point per cell. Clearing scores lines squared times ten: one line = 10, two at once = 40, three = 90.
Is my high score saved?
Yes. The best score is stored in your browser localStorage automatically and persists across visits.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Touch is a first-class input: tap a piece, tap the board. The layout fits a 375px viewport without overflow.
