Solitaire is the original computer pastime — for many people, FreeCell and Spider were the first things they ever clicked with a mouse. Nearly every FreeCell deal can be solved, and winning comes down to which column you free up first. Spider gets harder as you go from one suit to two or four; Klondike is about turning cards over and planning ahead; Mahjong Solitaire clears matching tiles from a stack; and in Peg Solitaire you jump pegs until only one is left. FreeCell also has a daily deal, so there is a fresh one to try every day.
